Internet Information Services is a Windows web server and is the most widely used web server. IIS servers runs on Windows NT Platforms. IIS servers allow information and other data to be accessed through the internet, an intranet, or extranet.
Some of the earlier versions of IIS had vulnerabilities that made them susceptible to viruses. The current version, 7.0, does not have any known vulnerability.
